As you will probably have heard from the Prime Minister, dental practices are being allowed to open from the 8th June. This is great news for us at The Oaks, as we will now be able to treat you, our patients, according to your best interests. And I am sure that you will also be relieved to know that we are soon to be back to work and available for you.
However, a dental practice cannot re-open safely and fully in one week. We will need a little more time to put measures into place that will ensure your safety and protection when you do come back in to see us. We will be conducting training in our new procedures to make The Oaks COVID-safe. This includes all aspects of your visit to us, both clinically and in the way we operate our appointments. Please bear with us while we get these up and running.
We do anticipate opening our doors again on the Monday 15th June. Initially we will need to see those patients who have been in pain, or had a problem, during this lockdown period. Then we will proceed as swiftly as possible to those who are mid-treatment and those overdue for their check-ups.
We want to reassure our patients that good dental practices, like The Oaks, already operate to very high standards of infection control and management, so the risks to patients of infection are very low, and will be further lowered by our additional measures. It is important to maintain good dental and oral health for your well-being. We will be doing our utmost to protect all of you, but particularly those of you who are vulnerable or shielding; please be reassured that we will be working according to best practice guidelines.
We look forward to seeing you in the near future, and thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult period.
